Kit comes fully constructed with:
- A machined lid of selected colour and type
- A black composite plastic casing
- Soft lid gasket
- A breathe patch
- All Bolts
- Battery M20 cable gland
- A sheet of 2mm adhesive foam, and 1mm adhesive foam
The XR Slim Sym Casing is intended to fit a 16s1p 21700 battery in the Nose end of a Onewheel XR build, alongside an XR Slim Battery casing and a fusion core.
The machined aluminium lid ensures extreme strength and accuracy, whilst the composite soft and hard plastic casing ensures both protection and shatter resistance.
The casing is typically waterproof after assembly thanks to its gasket design, though waterproofing should always be tested with a TFL Badger kit before use.
All Sym casings have two extra M6 cable gland inputs that can be used for footpads or other accessories. These ports can be closed off with the supplied M6 bolts if not used.
Be careful to use a short length 19mm pushbutton for extra internal room (12mm length recommended).
This casing requires the modification of the rail geometry to match it's excess volume. These modifications have been pictured at the end of the image slideshow. These modifications should come standard on VOW Vector Rails or Mattix rails.
- Gasket Details:
The gasket fits into a machined groove in the lid allowing for a tighter tolerance, reducing the wall width across the entire design and increasing internal volume. - Bolt Details:
The Bolts are designed to be as long as possible in different sections of the casing to compress as much plastic as possible, increasing strength. The Bolts are M3 sized near the tail side and M4 sized elsewhere. - Printing details:
The casings compositely-printed with tough TPU68D in thicker sections for increased toughness, and PPA-CF in thin, flat sections for rigidity.
Every outside face of the casing is TPU68D, making an environment-exposing shatter extremely unlikely.
- Fitment details:
The internal height is 26mm and attention must be made to match the thickness of your battery, plus the thickness of the utilised foam, to this free height.
